Universal Web Previewer
for Microsoft Outlook
How to create and manage ribbon buttons to open your preferred web sites in the Microsoft Outlook preview area.
Using UWP fully customizable ribbon buttons, you can open, in one click, your preferred web sites, web apps, web forms or web documents (in fact any URL) in the preview area of Microsoft Outlook.
By providing MS Outlook with full web browsing capabilities (UWP literally integrates Microsoft Edge into Microsoft Outlook), UWP reduces friction: you no longer need to switch constantly between Microsoft Outlook and your web browser to access the web when browsing your emails.
How to create and manage ribbon buttons to open your preferred web sites in the Microsoft Outlook preview area
MK Universal Web Previewer (MK UWP) provides a Microsoft Outlook ribbon into which you can create buttons to open your preferred web sites in the preview area of Microsoft Outlook:
To create a new button:
Open the website in your web browser, then simply drag and drop the lock or site information icon from the left of the browser address bar to the button list available in the MK UWP ribbon button panel.
With most of the web sites, this will automatically fill the Title and URL fields and set the button icon to the icon of the web site.
With some web sites not using classic site definition and icon formats, the icon or the site title may not be retrieved automatically. In such cases, you can drag images of your choice (png or jpg files) on the button icon displayed in the button editor area, and drag and drop, copy paste or type the title of your button in the button editor Title field.
Preferably use a square image for button icons (they will be resized automatically).
You can drag and drop images on the button icon displayed in the button editor area even if an icon has already been set to this button. It will be overwritten.
